Bermuda Grass Lawn Care in Bonita Springs

Bermuda grass is an excellent choice for southern lawns due to its low-lying growth pattern and excellent tolerance to extreme temperatures. A few things to keep in mind when caring for your Bermuda lawn is proper watering, sunlight requirements and mowing habits.

Bermuda grass loves water. Be sure to water your Bermuda lawn at least two times per week achieving 2” of water per week to simulate our summer rainfalls.

Sunlight is one of the most important factor in achieving a healthy Bermuda lawn. Being a warm season turf type, it requires plenty of sunlight. At least 7 hours a day of full sunlight is recommended. Beware of varieties of Bermuda grass that claim to be shade tolerant, these types still require 5-6 hours of sunlight to perform properly.

The trickiest part of growing a healthy Bermuda lawn is mowing. The mowing requirements for Bermuda are much different than our other turf types and requires a cut that is .75”- 1.5” in order to reach optimum performance.

City Green Environmental has dedicated countless days, weeks and months on perfecting our program that will take your Bermuda grass to the next level. Our technicians keep a close eye out at each visit to your Bermuda lawn for problems like improper watering, Mole crickets and turf destroying diseases
